lyrics
Wrong path to follow
Truth, hard to swallow
Double edge daggers
It saved you, It's what matters
No options left
Had to get it off my chest
Forever, I swore
Reasons I'd die for
Once perfection, paved with gold
Never expected to follow this road
I sold it all for the greater good at the crossroads
Until the end of time, I will belong in the gallows
There isn't anything else to say
Grim reaper, fulfilling it's journey
Fine prints, Blood sealed, the price to pay
Burning alive for eternity
I could never confess
My part in this mess
But I can only assume
I sailed this ship to it's doom
It was my everything
Until that faithful evening
All those years, now gone
So long, life carries on
In the wreckage, all is lost
Alone I have faced the cost
I wish I could spare you the pain
Of grieving upon my remains
Hanging from the cross
Contemplating my loss
I guess I had it coming
Here's to nothing

An incredibly powerful, emotional and beautiful post-rock album. It's a shame these guys only seem to have done one album and then disappeared, seriously great music! stonerrocks
The stygian duo explore themes of gender dysphoria and oppressive institutions through sludgy doom with a pitch-black underbelly. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2021
A fantastic debut showing from Baltimore metal band Born of Plagues, uniting post-metal's expansive textures with sludge's almighty muck. Bandcamp New & Notable May 19, 2021

This is a rare gem. This is one of those albums you know your going to like before the first cord is struck. This is that album for me. I just had this feeling on seeing the album art that this is going to be special. So much in fact I dropped what I was listening to and bought the CD without even a slight listen. And when I did finally download and listen I was rewarded with something truly special. This album is my album of the year vote. Ya I know it came out in 2015. I don't care. Frederick Jones
